Information about the library

The library is part of the Department of Communication and Learning in Science (CLS) and consists of two divisions: the Division of Information Resources and Scientific Publishing and the Division of Learning and Learning Environments. The library divisions conduct a broad library operation that is constantly changing and developing. You will belong to the Division of Learning and Learning Environments, which works with the digitization of teaching, tutoring, and instruction in information literacy, reading and writing support, as well as making the library's digital and physical learning environments accessible.

Job Description

The tasks in this position are primarily focused on meetings with library users, and you will be part of a working group responsible for supporting students who need audiobooks, writing assistance, and resource rooms. You will also work with the library's physical learning environments, hold introductions for new students, and represent the library in relevant Chalmers contexts. The position also includes coordinating the library's student employees and serving at the information desk. Other tasks may also occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has a university degree in library and information science or equivalent
• is interested and has a good understanding of education and research at the university level
• communicates well in both spoken and written Swedish and English

As a person, you are empathetic, proactive, and have an easy time collaborating with others.

It is an advantage if you:

• have courses in pedagogy and special education
• have worked with students with disabilities
